DR. KRISTOPHER COULTER
Dr. Coulter began his post secondary education by attending the University of Winnipeg, where he received a B.Sc.(H) and B.Ed. After teaching high school sciences for several years in Winnipeg, he chose to return to the University of Manitoba to pursue his true passion and graduated with Honours in 2009 with a DMD and B.Sc.(Dent). He joined Creekside Dental that spring and moved into his ownership role several years later. His soft-spoken demeanor, gentle nature and passion for the career are sure to put you at ease.
Dr. Coulter is actively involved with the profession as a current member of the MDA’s Peer Review Committee and Winnipeg Dental Society. In previous years he was also a member of the MDA’s Practice Study Club and Mentorship Programs and has served as a part-time instructor at the University of Manitoba’s Dental Clinic.
Dr. Coulter is the proud dad of two amazing children with his lovely wife. He loves to travel and often does so with his extended family. In his spare time, he can be found on his bicycle exploring Winnipeg and the surrounding areas with his friends and family.
DR. KRISTIE MASLOW
Dr. Maslow graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2000 and was the recipient of the John W. Clay Medal for top overall average in her graduating class. She began her practice with Dr. Howie, the patriarch of Creekside Dental, at that time. In her over 20 years as a dentist, Dr. Maslow has given back to the profession as clinical instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry, as part of the Mentorship program for dental students and on several committees in the Manitoba Dental Association.
Dr. Maslow has lived and worked in North Kildonan since she was a child, and she loves being part of this community. She loves to laugh above all else and is usually engaging in comedic chair side banter with her sidekick, Denese. When not in the office, you can usually find her at a rink or dance studio watching her 3 teens or walking her dogs in McIvor Park. In her spare time, she is an enthusiastic crafter who loves to knit, quilt, sew and do leather work, or she heads out to the forest for some hiking and camping.
DR. DIANE OSTRY
Dr. Ostry is a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba. She is an avid traveller and aspires to see the world. In addition to travel for pleasure, she has volunteered in the Dominican Republic building latrines and with a portable dental clinic in Peru, both of which she found truly rewarding. She currently volunteers with the mentorship committee where she helps dental students as they navigate dental school. She follows a healthy lifestyle by regularly going to the gym and participating in dance and yoga classes. When she is not busy exploring the boroughs of Winnipeg for a new restaurant, she likes to spend time with her family and her dog, Malyna.
DR. SYLVIA IN
Dr. In is also a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba, and was in the same graduating class as Dr. Ostry. She started her career practicing in rural Manitoba before joining the Creekside team in 2021! Dr. In works as a clinical instructor at the University and has volunteered providing dental services in Peru. She also volunteers on the mentorship committee where she helps dental students as they navigate dental school. In her free time, she likes to knit, sew and bake.
DR. ALLAN WINCHAR
Dr. Winchar is the newest addition to our Creekside team.
He brings with him his extensive expertise in treating jaw pain (TMD) and disordered sleep (snoring and apnea). Dr. Winchar graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1975 and practiced general dentistry for several years until 1992, when he completed a mini-residency in Pittsburgh, PA to receive Fellowship status with the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopaedics (I.C.C.M.O.) and went on to earn his Mastership status in 2014. He continues to advance his education with ongoing courses and certifications from all over North America.
If you meet Dr. Winchar you will see he is passionate about his work, and shares his expertise as a part-time clinical instructor at University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry in the T.M.D. clinic. His computerized diagnostic jaw tracking system for diagnosis and treatment of T.M.D. patients is the only system of its kind in Manitoba.
When not busy in the clinic, Dr. Winchar loves spending time with his family, including his eight grandchildren. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys golfing, fishing, hiking and summers at the cottage.

ENZA
Enza started her career at Creekside over a decade ago as an assistant, then returned to school to further her studies and become a dental hygienist. We are so happy to have her on our team! Enza and her husband love to travel and dote on their two children.

LARISSA
Larissa loves to travel and was married in her favorite destination, Hawaii. She loves to seek out adventures near and far, and when at home can be found enjoying festivals and exploring Winnipeg. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, her beautiful daughter and her dog, Karma.

JANIS
Janis graduated with honours from Dental Hygiene at the University of Manitoba in 2010. She has worked at a periodontist (gum specialist) office until joining our team, so she brings lots of specialized knowledge about your gums! Janis is a mom of 2 active kids and loves to spend her free time exercising, walking her dog “Taco” in the park and spending summers at the lake. She loves pizza and coffee- but not together, that’s gross.

SANDRA
Sandra graduated from Dental Hygiene in 2001, and used to work on Saturdays with Dr. Maslow in the “old office” on Henderson! She then married her military husband and was whisked away to Saskatchewan for many years before returning to Manitoba to be reunited with her large close knit family. She has 2 kids active in dance and hockey who keep her on the run. Speaking of running, she loves to run and hike in her free time.

MELANIE
Melanie graduated from the University of Manitoba school of Dental Hygiene in 2011 with honours. She speaks fluently in French and English and aspires to learn Spanish as a third language. Her passion for dental hygiene is evident through her positive attitude and her desire to help others. Mel loves spending time with her partner and their two young boys, She spends her summers camping with the fam and gets through the cold winter months by snuggling up with her two cats, two dogs and watching crime shows.

TARA
Tara (yes, another Tara…just to keep things interesting) graduated from University of Manitoba, school of Dental Hygiene in 2008, with honours. She always puts her patients first and ensures they are at ease with her friendly, outgoing personality. Tara is originally from Northwestern Ontario and often goes back to enjoy the many outdoor activities with family and friends. She is always on the go - crafting, baking, biking or hiking with her son and husband.

MEGHAN
Meghan graduated from the University of Manitoba’s school of Dental Hygiene in 2016. Meghan and her husband love to travel and explore new places. Her current favorite place is Croatia. They have two high energy boys and a calm sweet dog named Faye. Meghan grew up down the street from Creekside and is happy to be back working in the neighbourhood.

DENESE
Chair side assistant to Dr. Coulter and Dr. Maslow, Denese is a caring spouse and loving mom to two amazing kids. You can always find her with a big smile (IF she’s had her morning coffee) and share a laugh or two by the end of your appointment. She has some serious skills with a paint brush and enjoys painting in her free time. She is also a lover of knowledge, and you’ll most likely find her reading or spouting random facts you probably didn’t need to know (you’re welcome!)

TARA
Tara’s friendly demeanour and cheerful smile is the perfect antidote for your dental phobias! She is the proud mom of three teens. She loves to bake and spoils us with constant treats, and makes each of the Creekside staff feel special by making us birthday cakes. Tara loves to spend time with her family and friends, read and go for walks- she has spearheaded the Creekside lunch hour walking club!

KIM
Kim grew up in North Kildonan and now resides in the neighboring community of Oakbank. She spends most of her time driving her four kids to their many sporting events. She is their biggest fan! She also loves getting out to walk the family dogs. If she gets a spare moment, Kim enjoys engaging in a variety of summer and winter sports. She enjoys cooking, baking, and curling up with a good book.

Sarah is a busy young mom with 3 young children. She recently moved from the city to St. Andrew’s and is enjoying the big backyard with the family and her dog, Dee. Her hobbies include baking and curling up to watch a good movie (just not a scary one, please!)

CINDY
Cindy may well be the first smiling face you see when you visit Creekside! Her relaxed and easy-going manner is sure to put you at ease. Cindy is a big sports fan and loves to attend Bomber games. She is the loving mom of two amazing boys and spends the weekends carting them to their many activities.

Jackie is the co-pilot at the front desk who will help you with any of your questions. She handles all the chaos we throw at her with her calming personality and a smile. Jackie enjoys trying new recipes and travelling around the world with her husband and two kids, ask her about her latest adventure!

Karina rounds out our friendly front desk team! An avid outdoors person, Karina loves hunting, fishing, quadding, golfing and generally being active outdoors. The love of Karina’s life is her adorable young son.
